David Stafford, 1949–2023

We have heard the incredibly sad news that one of our most talented authors, David Stafford, has passed away. Omnibus Press' Publishing Director, David Barraclough, said:

"David, with his wife Caroline, wrote a series of fantastic books for Omnibus, starting with their wonderful biography of Lionel Bart. And just this August we published David and Caroline’s brilliant Anymore for Anymore: The Ronnie Lane Story. There were, of course, a lot of fantastic books inbetween those two, including a personal favourite of mine in their Billy Fury biography.

But more importantly, we’ve lost a great friend at Omnibus. David was wonderful company, always enthusiastic and witty (as befits someone who was also an excellent comedy writer), and he will be greatly missed by everyone here."
