Barry Adamson - Events

On September 30th, 2021, Omnibus Press will be publishing the debut autobiography of Barry Adamson: Up Above the City, Down Beneath the Stars.

Barry Adamson has released nine studio albums, including 'Soul Murder', which was nominated for the Mercury Prize in 1992. Prior to launching as a solo artist, Adamson rose to prominence as the bass player in post punk legends, Magazine and through a three-year stint with Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. he has continued to tour globally with his talents being in as much demand by new generations of artists, as he was after his first solo release.

The memoir is a powerful story written in Adamson’s distinct cinematic-noir style, taking the reader through a series of harrowing, tragic, funny and often life-affirming tales, with music always at its core and, as Adamson explains, the EP is “a further exploration of myself, the man outside, taking country jazz and blues idioms as the language.”
